A ten-minute treatment that fits any schedule
Ueno Clinic sits near Zenkoji Temple in Nagano City. With almost no downtime, botulinum toxin injections fit easily into a trip, a workday, or a weekend.
Done between sightseeing stops
We’re a 6-minute walk from Zenkojishita Station, close to Zenkoji Temple. The injection takes about 10 minutes and makeup is fine immediately after — snow monkeys, ski slopes, and temples all stay on today’s itinerary. Effects appear 2–3 days later, right around the time you head home.
Your local clinic for regular upkeep
Effects last about 3–4 months, so regular maintenance keeps results steady. A clinic rooted in Nagano for 30 years makes follow-ups easy — and Fridays & Saturdays are discount days.
90 minutes by Shinkansen
The Hokuriku Shinkansen brings you from Tokyo to Nagano in about 1.5 hours — an easy day trip. Friday evening hours run until 8:00 PM, so even an after-work visit is possible. Transparent flat pricing, no upselling.
What are botulinum toxin injections? (30-second summary)
Botulinum toxin (type A — commonly known as Botox) temporarily relaxes overactive muscles. It softens expression lines on the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes, slims a square jaw by shrinking the masseter muscles, eases teeth grinding and clenching, and reduces underarm sweating. Ueno Clinic uses Neuronox — derived from the same bacterial strain as Allergan’s Botox, converted 1:1 unit-for-unit — with every injection planned and performed by the doctor. Effects begin in 2–3 days and last about 3–4 months for expression lines.

Concerns that botulinum toxin addresses
- Horizontal lines when you raise your eyebrows
- “Angry-looking” vertical lines between the brows
- Crow’s feet that show whenever you smile
- A square jawline from strong masseter muscles
- Teeth grinding at night, jaw clenching by day
- A dimpled, “orange-peel” chin
- Underarm sweat that limits what you wear
- Wanting subtle results no one will notice
Expression lines etch deeper with every year —
the earlier you relax them, the less they set in.
How it works
Expression lines are creases folded into the skin by repeated muscle contraction. Injected into the target muscle, botulinum toxin temporarily blocks the nerve signal that tells the muscle to contract. The overworked muscle relaxes — lines soften, an enlarged masseter gradually slims, and sweat-gland signals quiet down.
The effect is reversible: over several months the nerve endings regenerate and the effect fades naturally. Nothing permanent is changed — one reason this is among the most widely performed cosmetic treatments in the world.
We use Neuronox (Medytox, Korea), produced from the same Type A Hall strain as Allergan’s Botox with a 1:1 unit conversion — comparable effect and duration at a more reasonable price.

*Onset and duration vary between individuals. Regular sessions keep results stable; the masseter shrinks progressively with repeat treatments, allowing longer intervals.
